lately i've been fooling myself for complaining about my job. well, actually, i kinda have in mind for the solution. check out. a side from the impossibility for me to resign, due to professional commitment and financial unstability, i better suck it up. because i feel like life is kind enough by giving me a lot of distraction before i explode :D

lately, i am actively participating illustration and design competition. it's not only about the yummy bounty prize, i feel that i need to take my skill to the next level. because, honestly saying, everytime i look at my illustrations, all i can think about is Children Illustration Book. I mean, it's good. but it's a challenge to make it applicable to other things as well :D

 oh! i've been receiving email from a lot of strangers asking me to make either illustrations or designs for their companies. so everytime i got home from my feel-like-thousand-years office, i've got some fun fun assignment. and having some new friends as a bonus!

anyways, these are the latest project i did. an illustrated sketchbook for my good friend's daughter, Kyanna's 1st birthday...

speaking of gift, last week, my friend went vacation overseas and she brought  me "What I Wore Today" book. OMG! She really gets i went insane on this book, and as usual, it's not available in Indonesia. yes we could buy em online, but geez the shipping cost double the real price. so yay! YAY!!

The book is some sort of activity book for doodler. we get to draw fashion we own (or not!) matched to the season and all. it has the 'wish list' page, also!

there are pages with different version of WIWT by illustrator all over the world. I did submit an entry before the book was printed, but didn't get picked. despite of how suck i drew in the past, this one's another...

i'm really overwhelmed with all the gift these amazing people have sent me. i mean, these people are NOT just a person. they're the best illustrator i ever friend.


this came earlier this month, from lovely Alice Bonacina (popularly known as Ramrena). Italian illustrator who's currently live in UK. she ask me my fav animal, and then made this for me. I LOVE IT!!

Today, just arrived, a package full of lovely things from Jessica McLeod a.k.a monstacle ! She blog about everything! makeups, nail polish and amazing drawings! we had one thing in common, huge love-hate obsession towards America's Next Top Model (she blogged 'bout it, too) :D 

anyways, we swapped. i've sent her my handmade totebag, and she has sent-back me these : 2 comics (signed) and 5 cute badges which i wish i could pin it in my forehead. those are cutieeeees! thanks alot, jess.

monday mourning.

last week was probably not the best week of my life. with all of those unpleasant surprises (like work thing and cat loss), it doesn't mean that there were no good things. But i still get to choose to (i mean, i have to!) sort only the good thing ONLY in my head. so it won't ruin the rest of my whole life.


last saturday, i was invited to share experiences and discuss about Design and Business Management at one local independent community, C2O Library. it did sound lil bit scary at first. but we always had an opinion about everything, right. so i gave it a shot. and it was fun! meeting new people with different perspective. plus, it's a great place also. really homey, and i enjoy being there. here is the report.


i was actually feeling better on sunday, we just need to do some errand and drop by to brother's house and playing along with lil chimp, Zia.


and today. i woke up really down and heavyhearted. lack of sleep, and not willing to step down from my bed. but i made it anyway. a friend came to my desk and drop this!

She made a plushee out of avatar i drew weeks ago! and i heart it hard! ♥♥♥ Thank you so much, dear Grace. you could actually see her sick wickerwork of craft and crochet, here. 


and just after lunch, i walk to a convenient store nearby, and saw these!!!! a cutesy The Dog Kids artist collection lighter, with miniature dog floats whereabouts. there are golden rets, king charles, many more. and i can't choose between these two. so i bought 'em all. :3

last week i felt like Christmas came early! one beautiful package from my hearth-throb illustration, miss Gemma Correll. Just take a peek on her website and aww yourself. Actually I've ordered for one single item, but she send me a lot of these instead!

one more pretty things sent to me, a fabulous tumbler from Kopi Keliling. Kopi Keliling is one hip collaborative art project event in jakarta. they ellaborate the best illustrator and pile them up in 3 sick days, last 18-21 september. lots of people came and at one spot, there were one spot where everybody get to doodle live, and the best get these fantastico tumbler! you could actually order their lovely merchandise here.

It's a shame I couldn't attend this fab event, but eventually i got this!!! Flawless illustration by Diela Maharanie (i love her!). now i can sip my coffee stylishly!

hello again

hi hello holla back!!! been a while after a long ied ul fitr holiday, the works has been so cute to me lately :3. aside of the new exciting office projects (yes! i love my job, finally!), i have so much things ordered during recess. Not to mention for this one amazing person's birthday, Jessica Na. People on the office plans to give presents that contains all of our faces. And i'm honored! The deadline was so leather-pants tight, but i made it less than 8 hours for these 5 pillows.

it didn't stop there. i also made DOZEN of homebake Potato Gratins that night! hahahaha....

i mean, i cannot hardly imagine that people are insanely ordering food on me. on me! the world to day, people. tsk.
