Saya sedang bongkar-bongkar folder lama di komputer. Eh, nemu ini!
Selama saya hidup, Komik yang pernah kebuat cuman bisa diitung pake jari. Itupun jarinya kuda. Kenapa? soalnya susah! Salut saya sama para komikus diluar sana!

Daripada keselip, berdebu, mending saya unggah disini. Lumayan, buat dikata-katain. hehe.
Komik ini saya buat dengan sedikit terpaksa, karena pengen ikutan MSG. Kompilasi komik yang digagas sama Tinta dan Opet.

Ada banyak yang ikutan. Termasuk Bembi, suami saya. Nanti kapan-kapan saya unggah juga ah. 

Sementara itu, selamat menikmati (apa yang bisa dinikmati).

Tien dan saya belum pernah sekalipun bertemu. Suatu hari di bulan november, dia mengirim surel. berkata bahwa dia akan menikah, dan meminta saya untuk membuatkan ilustrasi untuk undangannya. 

projek profil selalu membuat saya senang. Meskipun kami belum kenal, saya harus berusaha menggali informasi tentangnya. lalu coba saya visualisasikan lewat ilustrasi saya. itulah mengapa saya selalu merasa mengalami percepatan keakraban. mungkin itu bukan sepenuhnya hal baik, tapi setiap hal itu terjadi saya senang. dan saya merasa beruntung selalu memiliki teman baru.

Life as Designer

ini adalah projek yang baru saja selesai saya lakukan. Buat para pengguna aplikasi chat pasti sudah kenal dengan istilah stickers, yang sebenarnya adalah emoticon dengan tema dan cerita berbeda-beda. 

Cerita sederhana tentang seorang cewek dan suka dukanya menjadi desainer.Jadi ingat kehidupan saya sebelum sekarang ini. Maksudnya, saat saya masih menjadi karyawan sebuah biro desain dan belum menjadi desainer lepasan seperti sekarang. yah begitulah. Saya sedikit curcol sih. 

Saya cukup bersemangat, nih! Selain ini adalah projek sticker pertama saya, ini juga dibuat untuk sebuah aplikasi bikinan anak negeri. Nama-nya belum boleh saya publish dulu, karena memang belum diluncurkan. Semoga segera yah!

Another issue

As predicted, March has always been the hardest time of my life. Financially, psychically and probably mentally. i try my best for not complaining, but it is me you're talking about. if things are not on the right place properly, i would easily turned out to be drama.


I've been spending my entire time doing what i love (such as daily scribble doodles and other art experiments) for fun and ONLY for fun. Well yes, I know money cannot buy experience nor happiness. But considering i'm in state on unsecured finance, i should be more thoughtful about that. I need to sort out my priorities.

BUT IF... i force myself into high-paying yet high-pressure jobs, my head keeps thinking to do something else and is impossible and pointless way to continue the money-making job. 

But, Hey! It's only a month. it's only ONE freaking month. if only we will take moment to sit and write everything that has happened to us lately, actually it's not so bad. Yes, i almost drained every single penny of my savings, but i am lucky enough to be granted such big opportunities.  

like, who would have thought that i meet great new friends to sit, draw and basically do fun things together?! And how i could finally take my naive illustration to be exhibited on one of the most important spot of Jogjakarta?!
and just a couple days ago, i finally put check mark on my wish list : to do  magazine illustration piece.

june junkie

well, well, well. it's always been busy weeks for a full-timer office worker and in-betweener. but these days, i tell you, it's really really tight packed. the work has gone mad, with so many clients to pitch, while i need to make submissions for contest and exhibition.


i know u probably think i'm lame, but this busy-ness really flashes my days. it did. it's good to go home from routine, and think about 'what should i made today' on the way home. so it made me feel slightly alive. not to mention the gladness of having some appreciating new friends, new community and new chances. i'm kinda addicted on doing things and make sure i have progress.


speaking of new friend, there's one deadly talented illustrator and bacon addicted, Nani. knowing a great young artist share the same nationality does feel great. coz there not much of those. check out her amazing blog and aww.


yesterday, my workmate told me about charity bazaar for early next month. we get to sell anything we like, with 60 great shops. my goofy-good friend, pinkan and I will be there to share store with loads of handmade stuff. it means, there will be a lot of cushion cases, tote bags, t-shirts yada-yada-yada. so if you're in (or apparently will be in) surabaya, come to our shop and join all the good-deeders.

so it goin to be a happy-panic week.
